Sunset Chinese Cultural District
Legislated in 2021 to protect the broad array of tangible and intangible elements that define the Sunset’s cultural character — buildings, plazas, parks, murals, festivals, traditions, and groups at risk of displacement. The SCCD is the 9th cultural district citywide and the only one located on the west side.
District 4 Youth & Families Network
Created in 2018 in partnership with youth and family serving organizations to increase services and improve the quality of life of Sunset residents. Through this work, the coalition promotes greater civic and community engagement amongst low-income, vulnerable, and disenfranchised members of our community.
